Skin Cult was founded in 2018 in Taupō, Aotearoa, by Annie McCracken - created for those who have never fit comfortably inside the lines drawn for them.
This is aftercare for the rebels, the outcasts, the dark-hearted and the defiant. For the heretics who mark their bodies as acts of ownership, memory, resistance, and devotion. Tattooing has always belonged to those who stand apart and Skin Cult exists to honor that truth long after the act is over.
Born from frustration with an industry that treated tattoo aftercare as a brief inconvenience, Skin Cult was built on a different belief: ink is permanent, so care must be lifelong. Healing is only the beginning. What follows is maintenance, preservation, and protection. Ensuring tattooed skin survives time, exposure, and wear without losing its power.
Grounded in cosmetic formulation, aromatherapy, and hands-on product development, Annie created structured aftercare ranges with clear intent. Products for the raw and newly wounded, and products for healed skin that still carries ink every day. Products designed to reinforce the skin barrier, support pigment longevity, and keep tattooed skin strong, resilient, and alive.
