key ingredients & benefits

Each ingredient in a cleansing balm plays a specific role in effectively removing makeup while providing additional benefits to the skin. Here are the key benefits of the ingredients we have chosen for our cleansing balm:

MCT Oil (Medium-Chain Triglycerides):

Gentle Makeup Removal: MCT oil is effective in breaking down and lifting makeup, including waterproof mascara and long-wearing foundation.

Lightweight and Non-Greasy: MCT oil has a lightweight texture that doesn't leave a heavy or greasy feeling on the skin.

Hydrating: MCT oil can help hydrate the skin without clogging pores.

Castor Oil:

Deep Cleansing: Castor oil is known for its deep-cleansing properties, helping to remove impurities and makeup residue from the skin.

Antibacterial: Castor oil has antibacterial properties that can be beneficial for preventing breakouts and maintaining skin health.

Moisturizing: While effective in cleansing, castor oil also provides some level of moisture to the skin.

Blackcurrant Seed Oil:

Rich in Antioxidants: Blackcurrant seed oil is rich in antioxidants, helping to protect the skin from oxidative stress and environmental damage.

Nourishing: This oil is high in fatty acids, providing nourishment to the skin and promoting a healthy complexion.

Anti-Inflammatory: Blackcurrant seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties, which can be soothing for the skin during the makeup removal process.

Lavender Seed Oil:

Calming and Soothing: Lavender seed oil has calming properties that can soothe the skin, making the makeup removal process a more pleasant experience.

Antimicrobial: Lavender oil has antimicrobial properties, which can be beneficial for maintaining skin cleanliness.

Aromatherapeutic: The aroma of lavender can provide a relaxing and aromatherapeutic element to the cleansing routine.

When combined in a cleansing balm, these ingredients work together to dissolve and lift away makeup while providing additional skincare benefits. The blend aims to leave the skin cleansed, refreshed, and nourished, without causing irritation or dryness.

  • It works!
I was surprised at how well this works! My waterproof makeup is usually a nightmare to remove but this makes it super easy. A little goes a long way too which makes it super cost effective. Leaves skin feeling lovely and soft and smells beautiful.

  • Make up melt
Best make up remover I've used to date. Leaves my skin so soft. Smells of subtle lavender. 100g tin as well, decent size will awhile. Definitely recommend giving it a try 🖤
